Research and innovation hub
for a greener plate and planet

Biotech Heights is a Swedish national hub for research and innovation in bioprocessing technologies. The use of biotech on a larger scale has the potential to increase global food production and reduce dependence on fossil raw materials.

At Biotech Heights, academia, the public sector, and industry collaborate to advance the development of fermentation and apply bioprocess technologies to new industries. Our mission is that by 2035, everyone will eat new fermented foods every day.

Biotech Heights is based at Kemicentrum in Lund, with access to 1,400 square meters of creative and experimental spaces and high-tech labs. The hub is operated by Lund University, Tetra Pak, and Future by Lund, and is funded by Vinnova.
